The steel frame structure is 28m tall and incorporates three floors stacked above a vast triple-height workshop space where the boats will be built. The building is located on a prominent but formerly disused dockyard site on Portsmouth Harbour, a site and a city drenched in proud maritime history, with which the building’s architecture directly tries to engage.
